Dog becomes ill and dies shortly after leaving Cape Girardeau dog park- Dogtown

Dogtown dog park in Cape Girardeau is a local hot spot for dogs and their people. It’s the only park around specifically designed for dogs and is fenced for off-leash play, exercise, and socialization. It’s a popular place.

On Tuesday, Wrecker, a regular visitor to Dogtown, went for a routine run and play with his family. Nothing appeared off during the visit, but within minutes of leaving the park Wrecker became unresponsive and had to be rushed to his veterinarian.

Wrecker died on Wednesday.

But not Delta Dunklin Democrat reporter, Laura Ford. It’s likely she’s learning though, since she publicly posted her advertisement of two dogs, in need of a home, on Facebook- if advertisement is what you want to call it.
